North Wales is known as ‘the adventure capital of the UK’ and this is no surprise as there is so much to offer from adrenaline packed activities to exploring over 250 miles of coastline and incredible mountains to climb…..there is something for everyone.  Here is just a few of our favourites…

Our favourite for a fun family day out is Zip World that has lots of exhilarating adventures for all ages; from the longest, and fastest zip wires in the World to bouncing on an amazing series of trampolines in a former slate mine to racing friends on quarry karts down a slate track.

Victorian Extravaganza in Llandudno on 4th – 6th May is the largest free event for a family day out.  It has been running for 37 years and is held on the main streets of Llandudno and is full of Vintage attractions, entertainment and a fabulous fun fair for the children.

Rhuddfest is our very own village of Rhuddlan’s family music festival returning after 5 years!  A fun packed weekend from Friday 21 June – Sunday 23 June with plenty of music, stunt shows, parachute display and plenty of activities to keep the children entertained, it will be a great weekend!  You can pitch up with us for the weekend!

Conwy river festival 2024 takes place over 2 weekends in July – the fun starts on Saturday 6th for the return of the hugely popular Quay Day in Conwy celebrating the rich heritage with games and entertainment for all the family.  Anyone who loves all things boats, river racing and yachts will thoroughly enjoy the Regatta weekend and the famous LA-LA Rally Wednesday 10th – Saturday 13th July.

A stay in North Wales is not complete without a visit to one of our most famous and much loved landmarks, Snowdon that proudly sits higher than any other mountain in England and Wales.  You can walk to the summit from many of the paths or enjoy the breath-taking views at a more leisurely pace on the Snowdon railway.

Being farmers, the Flint and Denbigh show on 15th August is a must on the agricultural calendar.  The show offers superb array of animals and livestock, competitions, exhibitors and entertainment for all.  We will see you there!

One thing North Wales is not short of is Castles and we have some stunning ones to visit.  We have our own Castle here in Rhuddlan that sits proudly welcoming visitors into our village, then one of our favourites to visit is Conwy Castle, a beautiful view to take in as you drive into the Town it is exceptionally well preserved with plenty of towers to climb and admire the breath-taking views of the Conwy estuary.  And not forgetting, Gwyrch Castle just a 10 minutes’ drive away from us that hosted the family favourite show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’

North Wales has some of the best rivers in the UK to enjoy watersports on and one of our favourites with the family is in Llangollen.  Whitewater rafting on the River Dee is simply the most adrenaline-filled fun followed by a gorge walk putting all our fears aside to enjoy sliding and jumping off rocks into the refreshing Welsh water.

So whatever you’re interests are, there will be something for everyone in North Wales this summer so if you are coming to visit and need a campsite in North Wales, then you would be welcome to stay with us!  ideally located just 10 minutes off the A55 expressway and a short walk into our lovely village.  Or if you are looking for Glamping in North Wales, then one of our luxury adult only glamping pods is perfect for you.
