Terms and Conditions

Abbey farm caravan and camping park is a small, quiet and peaceful site that is ideal for couples and young families who want to enjoy time together. We appreciate that everyone wants different things from their time on the site, so when booking with us, you are agreeing to the following:

Booking and payment

  • Full payment is required at time of booking.
  • Payment is 100% refundable if cancelled 14 days or more of stay date.
  • Payment is 50% refundable if cancelled 8 days or more of stay date.
  • Payment is non-refundable if cancelled 7 days or less of stay date.
  • Pitches are available after 12pm on arrival day and if you can leave by 12pm on departure day. If you want to arrive earlier or leave later, then please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Shower/Toilet/Utility facilities

  • Toilets, showers and utility area are provided for your use, please keep them clean and tidy and let us know of any issues.
  • The communal fridge/freezer is for your use but please label your items – dispose of all food/drink that is out of date.
  • No dogs (unless assistance dogs) allowed in any of the facilities and children must be always accompanied.
  • Only toilet paper to be flushed down the toilets as they are connected to a septic tank.
  • You must not put any foreign items into the chemical toilet or toilet; this includes cleaning cloths, babies’ nappies, sanitary towels, condoms, cooking fat, engine oil, grease or paint.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the toilet/showers/utility or surrounding areas.
  • Please do not use the toilet/washing facilities to wash clothing. Do not dry clothes on the fencing.

Utilities

  • Strictly no charging electric cars using electric hook-ups.
  • Ensure you switch off all gas, electric and water connections when the tourer/tent is not occupied.
  • If you experience any problem with the site’s electrical, gas or water system, please contact us.
  • Do not attempt to work on any part of the sites electrical, gas or water system yourself; this includes any installations on the pitch.

Refuse and recycling

  • The Black/blue bin is for general waste only, NOT for awnings, chairs, furniture, electric items.
  • Recycling bin is available for disposal of such items as plastic, cardboard, bottles, cans.
  • Please put dog mess bags in the black/grey general waste bin

Fire Precautions

  • Fire points are clearly marked, please make you and all visitors aware of the Fire points/Fire Notices.
  • Do not use fire hoses for washing cars/tourers.
  • Do not store fuels or combustible materials other than LPG containers on the site.
  • Use the metal dustbins on the site to dispose of BBQ/Fire pit ash once it is cooled.
  • Ensure that all disposable BBQs are distinguished before putting into the domestic skip.
  • We allow fire pits but please make sure they are either on a stand or use slabs/bricks to ensure they don’t scorch the grass.
  • We do not allow the following: Chinese lanterns, Fire Works, Campfires, Generators, Chimneys, Log burners.

Vehicles and Driving

  • Please drive slowly up and down the lane leading to the site.
  • Please driver slowly (5mph) entering the farmyard of 5mph and on the site.
  • Only Park on the space/spaces allocated to you.
  • All vehicles must be insured for use on the public road.
  • No vans allowed onto the site, unless by prior agreement with us.
  • No disused or un-roadworthy vehicles are allowed on the site.
  • You must not carry out repairs of vehicles on the site.
  • Children on bikes/scooters are not allowed to use the farmyard to play.
  • Quad bikes, trials bikes and powered scooters are not permitted on the park.

Respect for others

  • Please do not cause undue disturbance to your neighbours. Quiet time is between 11pm – 8am so please turn off any music and keep chatter/noise to a minimum.
  • Please be mindful of others and play ball and other games within the confines of your pitch and communal area on the field.
  • We cannot allow you to fly kites, drones, powered model aircraft or any other powered flying objects on the site.
  • No recreational drugs of any kind are allowed on site.
  • We do not tolerate any abusive language or behaviour on the site – reports of this may result in you being asked to leave site without any refund.
  • We cannot take any responsibility for damage to persons or property caused by improper or irresponsible behaviour.
  • CCTV is always in operation.

Children and Animals

  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult to showers and toilets.
  • As a working farm, we cannot allow children to wander around the site or go into any farm buildings.
  • Do not allow your children to climb the wooden fencing or perimeter fencing.
  • Dogs are very welcome but must be always on a lead.
  • We do not allow on site any breed of dog listed under the Dangerous Dogs act 1991.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in tourer/tent.
  • Nothing in these site rules prevents you from bringing an assistance dog to the site as required to support your disability.
  • Dog mess must be picked up, bagged and disposed of in general waste provided.
  • Except for assistance dogs, dogs are not allowed in the toilet block or laundry area.
  • As a working farm, our sheep dogs to tend to visit the site, but please let us know if they are causing a nuisance or leaving their dog mess.
  • Please do not feed the sheep or cows that surround the perimeter fencing.
  • Please do not throw anything outside the perimeter fencing as could cause harm to the cows or sheep.

Visitors

  • There is a visitors charge of £10/day which includes up to 4 people and 1 car
  • Visitor times are 10am – 8pm
  • It is your responsibility to make visitors aware of any applicable rules that affect them.
